1429H:2008M teladan 1430H:2009M

Tik Tok..Tik Tok...Sat jah rasanya masa berlalu,sedaq-sedaq dah nak habeh dah tahunnie..Che rasa hangpa pon dah naek berbulu dengaq orang cakap lagu tue tetiap taun [not included TikTok tue laa..hihi] Macam-macam benda dah jadi tahun ni.Tak kiralah kisah politik ke, hiburan ke,semua ada!

Sememangnya tahun yang penuh dengan dramaswastanya yang tersendiri. Mesti ramai orang yang tak sangka tahun 2008 yang sangat terkenal dengan Ong no 8 nya bakal sedemikian rupa. Apa-apa pun yang terjadi itu pastilah ada hikmahnya yang bakal membentuk hari yang lebih indah pada masa depan. Cuma terpulang pada pemikiran dan cara kita nak menanggapinya. Kalau baek caranya, maka cantiklah hasilnya. Tapi kalau nak terus berpeluk tubuh, mengharapkan riba jatuh ke bulan, haih~tak dapeklaa pokcik nak nolongnyea..

Januari
1 Januari – Kuala Terengganu dianugerahkan city status.
2 Januari – Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek resigned as Health Minister, MCA vice-president, Johor MCA chief and Labis MP due to sex tape scandal & dipangku oleh Datuk Ong Ka Ting keesokan harinya.
12 Januari - 1st time dalam sejarah KLCI passes the 1,500 mark hurdle to 1,516.22 points.
12 Januari - Tenggaroh state assemblyman S. Krishnasamy dibunuh di Johor Bahru.
18 Januari – The second generation of Proton Saga is launched.
Februari
2 Februari Taman Tamadun Islam,Terengganu secara rasminya dibuka.
11 Februari – Official launching of the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE)
28 Februari – The opening of the Bernama TV news station on the Astro satellite television service, via Channel 502.
Mac
4 Mac – Election Commission (SPR) has cancelled the use of indelible ink for 2008 General Elections
8 Mac – The 12th Malaysian general election begins. The Barisan Nasional, despite its largest loss of seats in forty years, maintains a majority in the Parliament of Malaysia. Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor fall to the Pakatan Rakyat.
10 Mac –KLCI jatuh lebih 10% atau 130 poin kepada 1166.
11 Mac – The Malaysian New Economic Policy (NEP) has been abolished in Penang by DAP government.
18 Mac – Kabinet yang baru diumumkan oleh Perdana Menteri, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
April
1 April – "Pakatan Rakyat" (PR) terbentuk melalui gabungan bersama Democratic Action Party (DAP), Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)
9 April – “Ocean 11” Malaysia d’Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) yang merugikan RM 3.5 juta cuma dalam 3 minit.
11 April – The Iskandar Development Region was officially renamed as Iskandar Malaysia.
14 April – PKR advisor, Anwar Ibrahim celebrates his official return to the political stage, as his ban from public office expires a decade after he was sacked as deputy prime minister on 2 September 1998.
May
6 May – Blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin jailed over article allegedly implicating deputy PM Najib Tun Razak and her wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in killing of a young Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibuu.
19 May – Tun Dr Mahathir umum “keluar” daripada UMNO.
23 May – The International Court of Justice (ICJ) awards Middle Rocks to Malaysia and Pedra Branca (Pulau Batu Puteh) to Singapore, ending a 29-year territorial dispute between the two countries.

4 Jun – The price of petrol rises from RM1.92 to RM 2.70 per litre. Malaysia's petrol price convert to US$ 0.84 per litre is higher compare to China US$ 0.74, Egypt US$ 0.32, Indonesia US$ 0.65, Kuwait US$0.21, Qatar US$0.22, Saudi Arabia US$ 0.12, Turkmenistan US$ 0.08, and UAE US$ 0.37
18 Jun – The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) president Datuk Yong Teck Lee declares that his party has lost confidence in the prime minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
20 Jun – Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor celebrate the 100th day of the new Pakatan Rakyat government.
July
4 - 8 July –Developing 8 Countries Summit 2008 is held in Kuala Lumpur.

Ogos
3 Ogos– MRR2 tutup sekali lagi buat kali ketiga disebabkan keretakan pada tiang ke 28
8-24 Ogos – Malaysia competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. On August 17, Malaysian badminton player, Lee Chong Wei, won a silver medal at these Games. This is the first time since the 1996 Summer Olympics, that Malaysia managed to obtain any medals for the Olympic Games.
19 Ogos – One of the MISC vessel registered as "MT Bunga Melati Dua" has been hijacked by a group of armed pirates at the Gulf of Aden, between Yemen and Somalia. There were 29 Malaysian nationals and 10 Philippine nationals on board the ship when the incident occurred.
23 Ogos – Petrol turun menjadi RM2.55 [RON97]& RM2.40 [RON92]
26 Ogos – The Permatang Pauh by-election took place. PKR candidate, Anwar Ibrahim won in this election with a total majority of 15,671 votes beating BN candidate Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah.
29 Ogos – 9.50 pm, sebuah lgi tanker MISC “MT Bunga Melati 5” d’hijacked
31 Ogos – The closing ceremony of the Visit Malaysia 2007&51 years of the nationhood celebration.
September
5 September – Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) deploys third naval vessel "KD Lekiu", "KD Pahang" and "KD Sri Inderapura" to Gulf of Aden following the hijacking of two Malaysian tankers recently.
13 September – Blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin, Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok and a Sin Chew Daily News reporter Tan Hoon Cheng were arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Oktober

8 Oktober – Malaysian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced that he would step down as UMNO president, Barisan Nasional chairman and Prime Minister in March 2009. He announced that he would transfer power to his Deputy, Najib Abdul Razak.
11 Oktober – Bollywood no.1 superstars, Shah Rukh Khan dikurniakan Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) yang membawa gelaran Datuk daripada Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob.
14 Oktober – Harga petrol RON97 menjadi RM2.30 per liter daripada RM2.45.
15 Oktober – The Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF) has been declared an illegal organisation by the federal government.
28 Oktober – The government has put on hold the purchase of Eurocopter's EC 725 Cougar helicopters replacing the Sikorsky's S-61 Nuri at a cost of RM1.679 billion until the global economic situation stabilises.

December
1 December – The new Custom, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex building (Southern Integrated Gateway) is officialy known as Sultan Iskandar Complex.
6 December – Five people were killed and more than eight others are feared buried in a landslide in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ulu Klang, near Kuala Lumpur. The landslide, which is believed to have buried 14 bungalows in Taman Bukit Mewah and Taman Bukit Utama, occurred at about 4am.
