Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has found place for himself among the 50 Most Powerful People of the World selected by American news magazine, Newsweek!
The magazine says Shah Rukh Khan - who is No. 41 on the list - is the ‘King of Bollywood’.
Khan began his career by appearing in several television serials in the late 1980s. He made his film debut with the commercially successful Deewana (1992). Khan has won thirteen Filmfare Awards, seven of which are in the Best Actor category.
Some of Khan's best-known films include Dilwale Dulhaniye Le Janyenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Chak De India (2007), Om Shanti Om (2007). He also starred in a number of Bollywood's biggest hits such as Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Veer Zaraa (2004) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006).
Other known people who have made it to the list include US President-elect Barack Obama, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, American television host Oprah Winfrey and a surprise entry…Osama bin Laden, the global hero!
